Dani began her solo singing career at the tender age of four, when her duet partner in the kindergarten musical forgot her words, and Dani championed through it solo, "like a pro." For ever after, there was nothing you could do that she couldn't do better. Whether singing along to "Stranger in my House" with the radio in her father's garage, or singing all-out solos in school choirs and musical productions from Texas to Germany to California, Dani was constantly finding new ways to be seen and heard. In her sophomore year of high school, a friend talked her into trying out for a local community college play, and Dani landed her first leading role. Once the theatre bug had bit, it never let go.
Despite pre-med aspirations, Dani found it difficult to quell her dramatic tendencies and successfully ace Cell Biology 101 at the same time. Finally, she opted to commit to the theatre half of her double major. Knowing that the pursuit of this career would not always be easy, her parents were originally skeptical. But their same little girl, who at age 2 once showed them she could make the round peg fit in the square hole, amazed them when she nailed her first professional gig, proving to herself, her parents, and the world that she was blessed with an amazing talent.
Throughout college, as in her personal life, Dani found it hard to be tied to one spot for too long. While she consistently participated in nearly every major production and scene workshop at Centenary College of Louisiana, she also found time to play nearly every single community theatre in town, and spent three summers performing with Six Flags Theme Parks in Texas. Some of her principle credits include Sleeping Beauty (Princess Aurora), Little Women (Jo March), 42nd Street (Gladys), Last Night of Ballyhoo (Sunny Freitag), Wait Until Dark (Susy Hendrix), Wit (Susie Monahan), and Scotland Road (Winnifred).
She has also had the thrilling opportunity to sing the US National Anthem for a number of professional sports teams including the San Antonio Missions (AA Baseball), the Shreveport SwampDragons (AA Baseball), the Bossier/Shreveport Mudbugs (Central Hockey League), and the Bossier Battlewings (Arena Football). Professional credits include The Company Repertory's Murder Mystery Tour '03 (Bella Baloopi), Rockin' at Rockville High (Suzy Q), and the World Premiere of William Joyce's The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs.
Dani has also worked in television as the Official Spokesperson for American Wholesale Mattress, and on the radio in a variety of commercials and as 'the Voice' of Fairfield Studios. Nevertheless, she remains relentlessly committed to her true passion – live theatre. Now living and working aboard various “Fun Ships” for Carnival Cruise Lines, she enjoys the adventures of traveling, relaxing on sunny beaches with friends, reading, keeping fit, and every once in a while you'll catch her back on dry land in Louisiana or Pennsylvania.
Dani appreciates all the encouragement she’s received from fans, friends, and family, and steadfastly promises: “One day you’ll see my name in lights on Broadway!”
